E*TRADE was first conceived in America by the physicist & inventor Bill Porter, who in 1982 founded an online quote & trading service called TRADE*PLUS. Frustrated with the extortionate rates that individual investors were obliged to pay brokers, Dr. Porter developed his ideas until in 1992 he founded E*TRADE, the world's first electronic broker.
The vision of E*TRADE UK is to empower investors with information so that they are able to make informed decisions in the financial marketplace & take control of their own future.
